What is Hollow Knight
Hollow Knight was made by a team called Team Cherry, it is a hard 2D Metroidvania with platforming and PVE (Player vs Enemy) elements, slowly it started gaining popularity, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. On February 24, 2017 it was released for Windows, Linux, and macOS. In early 2018 it was released for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox. After its release, Team Cherry continued adding to Hollow Knight adding four free add ons as more content, the content packs include: Hidden Dreams, The Grimm Troupe, Lifeblood and the Godmaster.

What is Hollow Knight: Silksong
Hollow Knight: Silksong was made by a team called Team Cherry and was meant to be an add on to their previous game, but after a while with no uppdate they announced that it was becoming a larger project than they had anticapated, instead it became a sequel to Hollow Knight. After seven years of waiting it was released on September 4 2025, being available to play on PC, Playstation, Xbox and the Nintendo switch. After being released Hollow knight: Silksong:
- Becoming the most played games on Steam, with over 535,000 concurrent players
- Crashing several stores: Steam, Playstation store, Xbox store, Nintendo eshop
- Selling 5 million copies in the first 3 days, 3 million of those being on Steam
- Making 50 million dollars in revenue
